A recent study gave monkeys a neuroprosthesis and showed that this device enhanced cognitive function. This experiment used a nonlinear multi-input-multi-output prosthesis. This neuroprosthesis both improved task performance and enhanced decision-making ability. As research continues to show that animals are biological robots controlled by laws of nature, new technologies can be developed that enhance cognitive ability in other mammals, such as human beings.
